Grain Types

Pronto is our staatmaker. A white grained single hybrid in the SR52 class, it has improved disease resistance, good syncronisation between pollen shedding and silking, shorter plants, quicker maturity, large cobs and has retained  the characteristic flavour (if eaten on the cob). CG4141 is grown throughout Africa South of the Sahel. More seed of this cultivar has been sold in this area than any other. It is widelely addaptable and very reliable.

Open pollinated cultivars, such as SC521, KEP, Nelsons Choice and others, can be sourced for supplying to NGOs, bids on tenders etc.
